Cauce · Security audit

We follow every input to where it can do damage

From entry point to point of impact.

We review your code, your infrastructure and your trust boundaries looking for real vulnerabilities, not deviations from a checklist. Every finding arrives with the trace to the file, the observed result, and the smallest change that fixes it.

Method

Review by attack class

Evidence

Traced to source

Severity

Likelihood × Impact

19

Attack classes

From injection and access control to supply chain and AI agents

0

Tests against production

We read your source; anything we run is sandboxed with no external network

3

Explicit verdicts

Confirmed, needs validation, or rejected. Never an unlabelled "maybe"

100%

Findings with a trace

Every confirmation cites the file, the data path and the observed result

A rigorous method

From your code to a mitigation plan in 3 stages

A non-intrusive process: we read the source, validate in isolation and deliver evidence. We never test against your production systems.

Step 01 account_tree

Map the architecture and its trust boundaries

You connect the repository in read-only mode. We identify which components trust which, where untrusted input enters, and which controls are supposed to stop it. That produces the coverage plan.

lock Read-only access · your code never leaves your environment
Step 02 search

Hunt by attack class, then validate adversarially

Each attack class is reviewed separately against the source. Every candidate then goes to an independent reviewer whose job is to disprove it: whoever validates is never whoever found it.

science Bounded validation in an isolated sandbox, no external network
Step 03 description

A report built on evidence, not alerts

You get confirmed findings with their trace and observed result, the pending ones with the exact fact that is missing, hardening notes kept separate, and the real scope of what was reviewed.

fact_check Includes what we did NOT get to review
What gets reviewed

The attack classes we hunt for in your code

This is not a scanner matching patterns. Each class is reviewed separately, following untrusted input from where it enters to where it does damage.

code

Injection and input handling

SQL, commands, templates, deserialization, path traversal, SSRF, indirect and second-order injection

admin_panel_settings

Access control and authorization

Alternate paths with weaker permissions, bulk operations with no per-item check, endpoints that authenticate but never authorize

key

Authentication and sessions

JWT, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, MFA, passkeys, account recovery, API keys and mTLS

rule

Business logic

Skippable state machines, race conditions with real impact (double-charge, double-approve), numeric and time-based manipulation

groups

Tenant isolation

Cross-tenant leaks through cache, search, export, backup, restore, migration and deletion

enhanced_encryption

Cryptography and secrets

Weak randomness, secrets in source or logs, missing HMAC, nonce reuse and timing side channels

cloud

Cloud and infrastructure as code

IAM and workload identity, containers and Kubernetes, serverless, ingress, and the configuration and secret lifecycle

inventory_2

Supply chain and release

Dependency resolution, CI pipelines, release signing and promotion, updates and plugins

language

Browser and client side

DOM XSS, prototype pollution, postMessage trust, CORS, service workers and UI redress

hub

Protocols, RPC and messaging

gRPC, GraphQL, queues and brokers, webhooks, replay and transaction ordering

speed

Resource exhaustion

Computational amplification, resource accumulation, quota abuse and operator-funded spend

smart_toy

AI and agent systems

Prompt injection, context and memory poisoning, over-permissioned tools and MCP trust

info

We also cover memory safety and binaries (C/C++/Rust, FFI, kernel) and desktop and mobile apps (deep links, webviews, local IPC) where they apply. Classes are chosen from your architecture: an upfront pass decides which ones fit, and the report states in writing which ones were left out.

verified_user Report structure
SAMPLE

SQL injection through a JWT claim

api/auth/session.ts · untrusted input → unparameterized query

Critical

Wildcard IAM role allows writing to another customer’s data

terraform/iam_policy.tf · tenant boundary

High

User enumeration via differing recovery-flow responses

api/password/reset.ts · response distinguishes "not found" from "no access"

Medium

Severity comes from likelihood × demonstrated impact, not from a checklist. A missing control that another layer already blocks is a hardening note, not a vulnerability.

description Technical report + executive summary WITH EVIDENCE
The deliverable

Your executive security roadmap

No empty alerts, no generic lists. You get a summary your leadership understands and a technical breakdown your engineers can act on the same day.

priority_high

Severity from demonstrated impact

Critical, high, medium, low or informational based on what was actually demonstrated. Severity can never exceed the observed impact, so what reads as urgent really is.

build

The smallest fix that works

For every confirmed finding: the invariant the code must enforce, the minimum change that enforces it, and the regression test. Concrete edits to your files, not generic advice.

checklist

Scope stated in writing

The report says what was reviewed, what was left out and what is still pending. One pass never exhausts a system, and we would rather you know than assume the rest is fine.
